Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) Q2 FY27 Financial Results: PAT ₹1,659 Cr & Revenue ₹6.98 L Cr

Indian Overseas Bank reported record net profit of ₹1,659 crores, up 49.32% YoY, driven by strong deposit growth of 13.72% to ₹3,76,193 crores and advances rising 22.75% to ₹3,22,132 crores. NIM improved to 3.37% globally and 3.48% domestically, while GNPA fell to 1.33% and net NPA to 0.18%. Management highlighted INR 863 crores in PSLC income and INR 490 crores in recoveries as key profitability contributors, with ECLGS disbursements reaching INR 2,600 crores of the INR 4,400 crores sanctioned. Capital adequacy stood at 19.36%, and the bank plans to raise INR 5,000 crores via QIP/OFS in Q3-Q4. Digital adoption is high at 96%, and international expansion via GIFT City targets a 500 million INR book by FY end. The bank aims for 13-14% loan growth, ROA of 1.4-1.5%, and NIM of 3.3-3.4%, maintaining cost of funds above deposits. With 11 consecutive quarters of positive growth, asset quality remains stable, and fee income rose 20% YoY to INR 476 crores.
